About Doug - owner
Doug has been an insurance agent for 33 years.  Doug attended Texas A & M University and graduated in 1982 with a BA in Economics. After graduation he went into banking, specifically loan collections.  He learned a great deal about business during his time with two Houston based banks.  Doug started his insurance carrier with Farmers and built his business from scratch. 
​Doug was a Farmers Insurance agent in Houston TX from 1992 to 2001.   
When he left he worked independantly to build up his own book of business.  In 2008 Doug opened his own independent agency and still enjoys coming to work each day.  Helping clients with all the “hard” stuff that comes with insurance.  Doug successfully built from "scratch" his own book of business to a current premium volume of $6.0MM in 17 years.

Doug has attended the Joe Vincent Management conference held by the IIAT.  This is the 18th consecutive Joe Vincent conference Doug has attended. 

Doug enjoys cooking for his family and friends when time allows.  Doug is an avid college football fan and attends most of texas a & m games. Doug loves traveling and seeing the world.
